Place Royale. The marketplace of the 17th and 18th centuries was located here. To the southwest, at Pointe-?-Calli?re, we find the contemporary structure that is home to the Montr?al Museum of Archaeology and History, linked to the Old Customs House by an underground archeological circuit. This explains why part of the place is elevated.
