Changing of the Guards - Ottawa

CHANGING OF THE GUARDS. Changing of the Guard takes place on the lawns of Parliament Hill. The traditional military ceremony is performed by "ceremonial guards." The ceremony includes inspection of dress and weapons, the Trooping of the Colors and the exchange of compliments between the old and new guards. After the ceremony, guards execute sentry duties at Rideau Hall. The Guards perform daily at 10 a.m., late June-late August (weather permitting).
